Fun Element Jars

Well a few months ago I saw this cute and fun idea on Pinterest and I just had to share it. These cute little jars they called element jars. Aren't they just adorable?

Seeing as kids are going back to school and there are always fun crafts to do for school projects, or just having a fun project to do with your children, grandchildren, etc. I thought this would be a great idea to share.
My husband and I had done this with our son and he had a lot of fun. It was very simple all you had to do was.
Get a glass jar - the ones with the corks work the best.
Have acrylic paint in the colors that you want to use.
Cotton balls
Just a little bit of water.
Hot glue/ hot glue gun.
But what you can do to make these little cuties is:
Put a little water in the bottom
Put in the color of paint that you want in the vial
Then put in the cotton ball. What helped us was twisting or pulling the cotton ball up a little bit and using a toothpick to push the cotton ball down into the bottle.
Add a little more water if you notice the cotton ball isn't absorbing the paint as much.
Then if you like it put hot glue around the cork and you're all done.
Another way that you could do it is paint the cotton ball first and then push down the cotton ball into the vial.
What I loved about this is not only was it easy, and fun, put it was also cheap. I mean really whats better than that? I personally went with these vials because I went to the stores around my house and in half of the stores I couldn't find them. I went to places like Hobby Lobby as well but I didn't want to pay $10 for only 4 vials. And on Amazon I got 50 for half the price. But you can use these for the tooth fairy, first curl, or my personal favorite would be for my home made rose water.
